Retired sled dogs make great pets!

Have you ever dreamed of having a gorgeous husky dog? When dogs reach the end of their mushing career, we love to place them with an active family so that they can continue to run, explore and make people happy. A few of our dogs will be available for adoption at the end of this season; please review their profiles below and be in touch if you are interested in getting more information about adding a husky to your pack.

Josh
Josh is a very energetic, affectionate, beautiful dog. He gets along well with other dogs and with people! He would love to go home with an active family who could give him lots of exercise and love every day. He is available for adoption as soon as we find him the perfect match!

Picture
Batman
Batman is a veteran sled dog who is very smart! He gets his name from his distinctive... and giant ears. He is a little shy and takes a bit to warm up to new people, but once he knows you his love is infinite!

Picture
Batgirl
Batman's sister... and sidekick, she is a great leader and listener. She is shy like her brother but would love to find a family to show affection to.

Picture
Boxer
Boxer is a very friendly dog who loves to lift himself onto his back legs and give people hugs! He has a lot of energy and would love an active family to take him home and share adventures with him.

Crazy
While in his younger years, his name really fit his personality, Crazy has definitely mellowed out over the years and has a gentle demeanor. He is a calm, sweet dog who loves attention and pets from people!

Picture
Mushnuk
He is a super friendly dog who loves to do his job and please his human friends. He is up for adoption along with his equally friendly brother Mushdog.

Mushdog
Named for the sport of dog mushing, Mushdog is a quintessential sled dog. He is super energetic, loves to run, and is a friendly pup.

 Demon
Demon must have been a handful as a pup to earn his name, but it seems surprising now considering his gentle demeanor. He loves people... especially rubbing against them like a cat... meow!

Picture
Ophir
Ophir is one of the oldest dogs at the kennel, who still loves to run and pull the sled even at 13 years old. He is a big, strong dog who is very friendly and fluffy. He would love an owner to take him for a nice long hike and then snuggle him on the couch!

Cabo, Rico and Poco
These three beautiful white huskies are brothers who, like many pups at the kennel, are shy at first, but warm up fast. They have had a long career pulling sleds together and ready for their new lives as house dogs. They can be adopted out as a set for an ambitious dog owner, or individually.

 Cowboy: ADOPTED!!
He's an active dog.... who also loves his naps. He has an easy going, mellow demeanor and is super gentle! Like all sled retired sled dogs, he would do best with an active owner who loves to hike and explore with a dog.

Picture
Bolo: ADOPTED!!
With a physique similar to an Alaskan Malamute, Bolo is a big, strong, fluffy pup who loves to run. After a great career pulling sleds, he's looking for a new owner who will take him inside at night, but still give him the chance to run and have fun outside.

Blaze: ADOPTED!!
One of the biggest, strongest dogs in the kennel, Blaze loooves her job pulling sleds. When not out for a run, she loves meeting new people and getting a scratch.
