WINTER TOUR

Winterhawk offers the total dogsledding experience. We offer trips for families, special occasions, private parties and large groups. We have something for everyone.  At Winterhawk it's more than just a ride, its an adventure.  Memories to last a lifetime.   Details are outlined on the Tour Times page.

Winter tours typically begin around Thanksgiving and continue until the 2nd week of April, depending on weather and trail conditions.

We believe in providing our guests with a unique, fun and interactive dogsled experience coupled with an educational experience by learning the history of dogsledding.

SUMMER & FALL cart and kennel TOURS

Join us at our private property in Leadville and enjoy the excitement of a cart ride, kennel tour, and a nature walk with puppies.  The drive to Leadville is on a Scenic and Historic Byway.  Leadville is in a valley and surrounded by snow capped mountain peaks.

The one and only of its kind and a must do for all families, visitors, and locals. A unique summer activity for all ages.

A unique adventure to another world.  Come along with us on our summer rides as we work to keep our dogs happy and healthy doing what they love to do most run.   This is designed to be an educational experience.  You are encouraged to jump in and learn how to harness and hitch a team or you may chose to stand back and video the first-timers trying to harness an energetic Alaskan husky.  You'll meet some of the sweetest dogs you've ever seen.

In the fall when the aspens are changing the valley, you will see  prime aspens. What an awesome way to see the fall colors in Colorado!

"Thank you for our wonderful dogsled adventure with your folks ...what a blast! Thanks for the memories!

Woofs and hugs."
